It's a truffle with a particularly strong and a garlicly flavour even if however plasant; for an inattentive eye and not enough expert it could be similar to the White Alba truffle, but smaller in dimensions, harvested in a different period of the year, smell and  color of the glebe (brown-violet with whitish veins) it's very difficult don't recognize it.

The truffle must be stored in a glass jar or, as an alternative, in an airtight plastic container. Inside it, the truffle must be wrapped in a sheet of kitchen paper

You don't eat the truffle by biting it unless you can afford it, you don't peel it with a knife with the exception of the Black Truffle and it shouldn't be cut in pieces even if, in some recipes

The truffle is a mushroom which grows underground: obviously, when picked it is covered with soil. It is a good practice that those who market truffles, will sell them
